When I was living in Florida for a brief period of time, I use to go for walks almost every day in the bright streets of Gulf Cove, Florida. A neighborhood to the west of Port Charlotte, Florida. When I walked I use to see these very bright fields of flowers of all various colors in a crisp bright blue sky with a few happy clouds. These yellow ones in the field caught my attention one day and I decided to paint them from memory when I got back home . The original watercolor painting, with some yellow acrylic added to the flowers, and some white acrylic to the clouds, is 18X24 inch. The painting is inspirational and uplifting.

Sun Bowl plea: Snow, snow stay away
I woke up this morning, opened the curtains at Fairfield Inn El Paso and received good news. There was no 3-5 inches of snow on the ground.
Some in the business of weather forecasting was suggested that the night was the gift for fans of Sun Bowl, but no. Something's fall, like a little rain, some snow, but nothing heavy at all. Weather.com shows now that the snow might fall this afternoon.
A little snow would not be a disaster-bowl game, but this is not exactly what someone wants to see Oklahoma after the Blizzard 14-inch last week.

Day 2 Day Field Tech began with a trip to Ocarina Networks. For those who do not know (a) Ocarina provide a "data reduction" equipment (b) an ocarina is a small oval, flute China. I say the data reduction because the device Ocarina uses a variety of methods to reduce data size, including compression and deduplication. The keynote speakers were George Carter Ocarina and Goutham CTO (Gou) Rao. Rather than delivering death by PowerPoint, Gou chose whiteboard its entire session, enter some considerable depth about the theory behind the techniques of data reduction.The approach whiteboard was very informative and popular with delegates, generating lots of conversation.
Then it was Nirvanix. Nirvanix are a storage "cloud" company, operating in the same space as Amazon S3. After giving an overview of the company, Peter Pistek provided details CloudNAS 2.0 a software that enables a Windows or Linux server to act as a NAS device, storage of data directly into Nirvanix's cloud. It is a product I reviewed in the past, and before that I was not in its favor. Expect my review of version 2.0 in the near future.
Day 2 lunch was provided by W. Curtis Preston and was followed by "Mr. backup" take us through his new project - some truth in that, a paid-for community portals to help customers evaluate products storage (initial backup ).
The afternoon was taken up by a trip to Data Robotics, the makers of Drobo storage device. This session was probably my most anticipated of the week and I was not let down. It was beautiful - for a number of reasons.First, CEO Geoff Barrall we took the product in more detail, answer some questions that I have always been around how Drobo BeyondRAID technology operates. I’m fairly lucky that I am still in school with fairly little responsibility aside from going to classes and maintain a part time job, but even then, I like to be able to be fairly presentable when I face a group of people. Except for those nights that you wake up somewhere aside from your own bed - those mornings are always a wee bit more difficult to figure out. What has become a problem for me, though, is that any night can result in a morning after because I’m still a student. If I was working full time I am sure I would have a little more responsibility to keep my bedtime to… well, anytime earlier than the bars actually turning their lights back on, and I would definitely keep the drinking to a minimum. And, then, I could save my all out nights for Fridays and Saturdays. But, needless to say, Rachel Zoe’s third chapter of her style book is a guide to the dreaded morning after. Her morning after tricks are split between the “go to work” type of morning after, and the “day off” type of morning after – which, I would apply to most people still in school. What I wear to school, I wear on days off, and weekends, and just about anywhere during daytime hours. I am sure it would be everyone’s perfect dream to work in a work where you can wear your day off clothes to the work place, but, unfortunately, this type of work wear is saved for those who have worked their ass off for years and really deserve to dress that casually. And, even then, it usually only applies in the areas of fashion, art, music, entertainment, and film. So, we face the majority of people, who actually work in the corporate world. Or, dress in corporate attire. Rachel’s recommendations are pretty simple to follow, and, I would think would be pretty much basic rules of the office that most women should know before they even enter the workforce.
